Celebrate National Science Week with some of WA's women in STEM champions.
This event is for WA-based students in years 10-12 interested in learning about how rewarding and exciting a career in STEM can be.
Students will have the opportunity to meet with different women working in a range of Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths fields. These are WA’s technical experts and leaders!
In each 12-minute meeting throughout the session, a different STEM professional talks about their day-to-day work and career pathway. Participants will have a few minutes to talk to each mentor, learn about their career stories and ask questions, before moving onto the next station. Each meeting will also involve a hands-on activity to show students the real-world STEM skills involved in each mentor’s job.
Light snacks and tea/coffee will be provided. Each student receives a copy of the digital event program, with profiles of each of the WA women in STEM mentors.
