Shining New Light on Traditional Skills

The Handicraft Committee of The South Australian Country Women's Association Inc. is running an e-textiles workshop in National Science Week.

Presentations and assistance to the participants will be provided by SACWA members and Handicraft members in particular. The objective of the workshop is to show participants how to combine the technologies of LED lights and batteries with the traditional handicraft skills of hand sewing and embroidery.

Detailed printed instructions and pictures will be provided, with all the supplies needed to complete a project packaged into a kit. For example:

Parking is available at the venue and in the street. It is wheelchair accessible with a lift to first floor but there is no disabled toilet facility in the building. Light refreshments will be served.
