Kiran Sreedhar Ram, a STEM PhD researcher and casual lecturer at Charles Darwin University accepted an invitation to share his knowledge and experience with two of Anula Primary's upper classes during this year's National Science Week.
Holding a Bachelor of Technology in Electronic and Communication, a Master of Engineering in Electrical and Electronics, and a Ph.Dd in Organic Photovoltaics, Kiran's expertise is extensive. Outside of university time, amongst many initiatives of interest to him, he was a team member of the NASA Occultation Mission, working in the Hubble optics team.
With the students, Kiran will cover his experience with the Occultation Mission and bring along Lego robot self-driving cards to explain block coding, an activity the students are sure to love.
Kiran has a strong passion for meaningful student engagement within education - a commitment to volunteering and advocacy which will be inspirational to our students.
