These two events are scheduled for Friday 19 August (for school groups) and Saturday 20 August (for families and the general public). Visitors will have the opportunity to see inside Adelaide’s Micro-X factory, which develops and produces next generation X-ray imaging equipment incorporating innovative design and carbon nanotube technology. Other industry tours will also be available.
Free science-art workshops and science related craft activities, including an augmented reality treasure hunt, will be offered alongside guided tours around the Tonsley Innovation District. Join us for a fun filled day and learn more about how innovation and Seeing Things Differently can lead to technological advancement across various industries. Discover facts about the chemistry of glass and meet some of Micro-X’s fellow Tonsley Innovation District tenants such as Flinders University, SAGE Automation, BAE Systems, ZEISS, Autism SA and Maximum Energy.
The Friday event (for school groups only) will also offer guest talks by award-winning speakers at the Flinders University Tonsley building.
Free parking - food and hot & cold beverages will be available for purchase onsite. Some activities are outdoors (though all activities are undercover) and warm clothing is recommended.
