SCOPE is a photomicrography (the art of taking photos through a microscope) competition, giving Territorians the opportunity to explore the tiniest details of the Territory.
Sixty smartphone microscope converters have been distributed to remote and rural schools and libraries, giving kids the opportunity to explore the world of minutia around them and share their experiences with the whole of the Northern Territory.
Photos will be submitted in one of the following three age categories:
The first competition round will be within the school or library, then the top photo for each age category from each school or library will be submitted for the Territory-wide competition.
A selection of the best photos will be displayed in an exhibition at the NT Science Week Awards in Darwin. The competition winners will also be announced at the Awards.
