Students in Years 3-6 will work as members of a small team to identify an authentic, real-world problem of their choice, focusing on issues that impact young people in our global community.
Teams will design creative and innovative solutions for their issues, incorporating the use of coding (using micro:bits) and engineering design principles. They will then showcase their solutions to the younger members of our school community (Kindergarten – Year 2 students).
This will provide the older students with an opportunity to explain to the younger the students the real-world problem that they are solving, demonstrate their proposed solution and answer questions the younger students may have about the coding involved in the solution.
