Students from Prep - Year 6 will be creating a Rube Goldberg chain reaction machine.  Students will be provided with resources, and some will provide themselves.

Session One will be for students in Prep - Year 2, where students will have support in creating their Rube Goldberg reaction machine. Students in Years 3 & 4 and 5 & 6 will have two days to complete their machines. They must decide on materials, design, build, implement and evaluate their machine.

The High Potential Teacher and eLearning Coordinator will support students throughout the design process, however, building and reflection will occur independently. Resources and expectations for students in the high-year levels will be discussed with students.

The HPL and ELearning coordinator will judge the designs, accuracy and evaluation to decide who has been the 'best scientist at St Gerard Majella. Awards will be presented at the assembly, highlighting their science and embedding STEM into our daily practice.
