In the lead up to National Science Week, all classes at Albuera Street Primary School will be researching how to create a solar oven, using a pizza box or similar.
We will pick the sunniest day (it is Hobart in winter) in Science Week to have our challenge. Each class will attempt to cook nachos or 's'mores' in their oven.
Students from Year 5/6 classes will incorporate measuring the temperature of the ovens into their investigation plans and reports. Food cooked will be shared by our buddy classes.
Our Principal will judge which is the winning class in the challenge, based on culinary outcomes.
