Our goal is to increase student engagement and interest in science, which emphasises on having a week full of  fun. All staff, students, and subject areas will be involved to increase student awareness on the role of science, in our everyday lives. Canteen specials will be renamed to scientific names; there will be competitions, prizes, and trophy made for the winner of the National Science Week House Cup.

On Monday, there will be lunch time activity involving AI and lollies. Students are to guess how many lollies there are in an irregular shaped vase, with the help of AI. Students will learn how to give instructions to the AI to obtain the results they desire, using descriptive words and instructions.

On Tuesday, our senior students will host a science and STEM expo, with sausage sizzles to celebrate. Students can also go to art for cyanotype activity, a sun-based science experiment to create artistic pieces. 

On Wednesday, students will be using their creativity to create what AI will look like in our future society. The activity will be held during SEAL lesson and can be presented either drawn on the worksheet, or through a VR. A winner will be voted. The lunch time activity will be binary coding a bracelet. 

On Thursday lunch time there will be a drone race held on the oval. Students can also use our new Makey Makey kit to play the game they invented during Digital Tech class.

Friday is Sci-Fi themed, with a dress up day, sci-fi movies at lunch, and the chance to learn with our special guest, Light Saber Academy.
