Palaeo Jam is a podcast exploring a range of issues in science and the community, using the multidisciplinary aspects of, and public fascination with, palaeontology. We're taking the podcast on the road for National Science Week, and recording a series of episodes in front of a live audience!

From Adelaide to Perth, to Townsville, and beyond, we're heading to the places where some of Australia's most awesome fossil stories dwell, to chat with those who do the research in front of a live audience.

Each episode will have a theme and be restricted to a strict, 30-minute timeframe. Each episode has a panel of up to three guests, and is hosted by award-winning science communicator Michael Mills. Paleo Jam is suitable for late teens, and adults.

Alongside the Palaeo Jam tour, in each community the podcasts are recorded, singing palaeontologist Professor Flint will be presenting a range of community performances and activities for young people and families. The Prof will also be presenting free workshops and performances at several across within those communities throughout the tour.

Keep an eye on the booking link for details of events in Adelaide, Naracoorte, Armidale, Perth and Townsville, on how you can become an audience member for the live records, as additional components and information are added, and the tour is expanded. Subscribe to Palaeo Jam on your preferred podcast platform for access to all episodes.

Throughout the tour, recorded episodes of Palaeo Jam will be uploaded within a couple of days of being recorded, for a plethora of palaeontology across August and beyond! We'll also be recording extra episodes in the labs and amongst the collections of the various locations for future broadcasting.

Palaeo Jam- Live has been made possible through the generous support of a National Science Week grant from the Australian Government.
