The launch of National Science Week in the NT will take place at the Sea of Light exhibit at the Museum and Art Gallery of the Northern Territory.
Media, government department representatives, industry and STEM professionals are invited to be the first to engage with this sensational show and learn about the other Science Week events happening during the week.
Sea of Light (Sea of Light | Patch Theatre) is an illuminated interactive journey of light and imagination. With a UV torch as your paintbrush, participants paint and stencil their own voyage or bioluminescent animals in the Discovery Centre at MAGNT.
Children and families steer ships that leave glowing paths of light in their wake as they sail across the sea floor or create a floor of fireflies that fade as time steals their lanterns. Sea of Light brings together magical light and a gentle soundscape to create a unique adventure for students, families and children.
Darwin Festival and MAGNT are partnering to bring Sea of Light to Darwin during National Science Week.
