Native Plants on Earth and Beyond

  • - (ACST)
  • Australian Space Discovery Centre
Lot Fourteen, Ground Floor, McEwin Building, North Terrace, Adelaide SA 5000, Australia

As humans continue to explore further from our home planet, Australia's hardy native plants could be the answer to a nourishing diet.

Plants in space are used for food and research, but they also play an important role in astronauts’ well-being and fostering a connection to Earth. As some of the world's first astronomers, First Nations people of Australia could hold the answer to how humanity can go further than ever before, whilst staying connected to our home, Earth.

Join the Australian Space Discovery Centre and Southern Cultural Immersion as they explore the significant connection that Aboriginal people hold with Country, take an in depth look at Kaurna plants and their traditional uses on Earth, and beyond.

Hosted by the Australian Space Discovery Centre, the talk will run for 90 minutes, including
time for questions. In-centre attendees will also have the opportunity to explore everything else the Discovery Centre has to offer.
