About the speakers

Dr Vince Polito is a Senior Research Fellow in the School of Psychological Sciences and member of the Biomolecular Discovery Research Centre at Macquarie University. Hie research focuses on developing measures of how our sense of self changes in different contexts, clinical conditions, and altered states of consciousness. In the context of microdosing he is investigating the short- and long-term effects of microdosing on wellbeing, cognition, and agency.

Gemma Conroy is a freelance science journalist whose works has appeared in New Scientist, Australian Popular Science & Scientific American. She has also worked for the ABC as a staff reporter for ABC Science and Nature Index. Her work was featured in The Best Australian Science Writing 2020 anthology.
