Let’s Torque Public Speaking Competition Grand Final

  • -

The Let's Torque is a subsidiary of the Royal Society of Victoria, and we run Victoria's premier public speaking competition for university undergraduates. Competitors submit their ideas in May and then refine their ideas with Let's Torque workshops. Competitors have to succeed in the semi-finals to progress to our Grand Final.

The Grand Final is typically held at the Royal Society of Victoria, but this year will be a live-streamed event for audience members to watch on streaming channels such as Facebook, sponsored by Inspiring Victoria.

To accommodate COVID-19 restrictions, Grand Finalists will have their presentations pre-recorded, then live streamed here on Facebook with an interactive Q&A from our panel of esteemed science communicators, including Dr Jen Martin, Prof Alan Duffy, Alanta Colley and with keynote speaker, Robert Gell AM.

Tune in to hear some of the most fascinating topics from the next generation of science communicators to support and celebrate our outstanding finalists from across Victoria.

Simply press 'Going' on the Facebook event to be notified when the live-stream will kick off.
