A hands-on experience using microscopes to investigate the hidden nature of Sydney City Farm.
You’ll look close-up at seeds, leaves, insects and soil and take images to turn into a key ring or bag tag. Personalise your design by adding your name and laser cutting onto your choice of coloured Perspex.
Children will be guided to use digital microscopes to investigate material gathered from the farm.

Each child will need to bring a USB stick to save all their images.
We think carefully about the suggested age range for our activities and this workshop is only appropriate for children over the age of 8 years.
Parents and guardians are required to stay in the library during the session and are encouraged to stay in the makerspace to engage with the activity alongside their child.
Bookings are essential as places are limited to 10 children per session.
There is no parking at this venue, there is a level access entrace and a lift. The makerspace is located inside the library on level 1 .
