Kilcoy State School Science Fair will be powering into the future, thanks to this year’s theme of Innovation: Powering Future Industries.
Each class or year level will create Science Stations with visual displays and hands-on activities that reflect advancements in technology and a sustainable future.
Our Science Fair will be conducted over two days in National Science Week and held in our school Hall. During the school day, classes will interact, discover and immerse themselves in each Science Station. Every student will also have the opportunity to engage in quizzes, STEM challenge activities, demonstrations and competitions during the whole of Science Week.
Our Year 5 and Year 6 Student Leaders will be trained as Assistant Scientists to run the activities at each Science Station, giving them valuable experience in collaborative learning and teaching.
Community groups and families will be invited and welcomed to share in our students’ achievements after school on the Thursday. Our event will showcase the enthusiastic commitment of our students and teachers to investigate a variety of perspectives in the advancement of science and technology in everyday life.
