This event consists of building natural structures to solve real-world STEM challenges set amongst the beautiful surrounds of Belair National Park. It will harness curiosity, create personal connections through a positive and enjoyable experience, and broaden scientific literacy through weaving environmental interpretation throughout the event.
Facilitated through a series of team challenges, participants will use natural, open-ended resources to problem solve, design and build natural structures. Critical thinking, cooperation and resilience will be the keys to success.
The event will also showcase women in STEMM as the event will be facilitated and run by women who will also share their insights and experiences about their careers aimed at encouraging interests and participation in STEMM. In addition, the event will feature a short talk by a female National Park Ranger about how STEMM plays an important part in her job.
