  • - (AEST)
  • Queen Victoria Museum and Art Gallery
2 Invermay Road, Launceston TAS 7250, Australia

Join the National Science Week fun at QVMAG as we get hands on and learn how to code our own video game with the Bitlink education team.

We'll learn how to use block-based coding, to build 2D video games using Microsoft MakeCode Arcade, and take you through some of the beginning steps towards creating your very own video game. MakeCode Arcade is a free online program, and participants will learn how to continue their work at home, even after the session has ended.

To join the fun, simply register for one of the four free sessions on the day and attend on the day where all equipment will be supplied.

Please note: This workshop is suited to ages 9+. Children must be supervised by a parent/guardian for the duration of the event. Bookings are essential via Eventbrite due to workshop capacity limits.
