Developing from the Innovation: Powering Future Industries theme for National Science Week, our project involves a series of hands on workshops for children and adults, learning how to use energy from the Earth's elements. 

This workshop during National Science Week will capture harnessing different elements to create a source of energy.

Air/Wind

Create a mini wind turbine and learn how electromagnets generate electricity. We will provide DIY kits that we will build together to each create a working wind turbine. With staff and local volunteer guest facilitators demonstrating and discussing the factors of wind energy while assisting participants to successfully build their kits.
