Our Crescent Lagoon Science Fair will be set up in school hall for students to visit during the day and families in the afternoon/evening. Students from upper grades will be supporting teachers in demonstrating a range of scientific activities and supporting the younger students in completing tasks.

The activities will include:

• water bottle rockets
• friction car track
• bi-carb soda and vinegar experiments
• rebounding ball investigations
• fingerprinting
• sports drink electrolyte comparisons
• oobleck (cornflour slime)

As a whole school challenge class groupings will be provided with materials to construct straw towers and investigate ways to make the towers stronger by using diagonal bracing.
