Held in the Science Gallery, where science, art, technology, and design come together, to engage millions of inquiring minds every year in connective, participative, and surprising ways. Attendees will also have exclusive access to the brand-new Dark Matters exhibition.
Exploring the collision of art and science, and playing a vital role in shifting our understanding of science, art and innovation, Science Gallery Melbourne is part of the acclaimed Global Science Gallery Network pioneered by Trinity College Dublin. Science Gallery Melbourne builds on the success of the Network, bringing a southern hemisphere flair to its innovative models of engaging 15-25 year olds with science. Science Gallery Melbourne is located in Melbourne Connect – a new innovation precinct being developed by the University of Melbourne on the corner of Grattan Street and Swanston Street. The Gallery is part of the Museums & Collections department at University of Melbourne, forming connections with other collections, galleries and museums at the university as part of the Cultural Commons. One of seven global nodes, Science Gallery Melbourne aims to involve, inspire and transform curious minds through arts and science.
