The Cav Road STEAM Fest is our annual STEAM celebration during National Science Week.
The Cavendish Road STEAM Leaders are hosting a range of lunchtime STEAM activities including constructing wind turbines, solar powered cars and bionic hands.
Consistent with the theme of Science Week, our activities feature innovative technologies and the use of renewable energy sources. Students will design and construct wind turbines to create electricity and to lift a load using a wind powered pulley. In addition, students will design and build solar powered cars that they can test and adjust.
Students will also construct 3D printed hands and then use Arduino microprocessors to make the hands bionic. They will also use their innovation ad creativity to create robots that can create art autonomously.
Our STEAM leaders have designed these activities over the last three months and will run each of the activities with the students.
