Meet Queensland Museum Assistant Curator, Tess Shingles and see some of our special objects from the museum collection.

In light of the National Science Week school theme Glass: More than meets the eye, Tess will present objects from Queensland Museum's collection to reveal Bottled Health: The benefits of glass for peddling dangerous medicines and cure- alls.

Meet the curator: Tess Shingles

Tess has worked with Queensland Museum for 8 years, in that time she has presented science shows, sewn together robot dinosaurs and almost everything in between. She is currently the Assistant Curator for Queensland Stories (acting), and is particularly interested in representing histories of women and objects that challenge the audience’s pre-existing perspectives.
