‘Blending Science and Gardening’ enables a series of workshops to take place during the Nannup Flower and Garden Festival.
The four exciting FREE workshops being offered are:
Beneficial Bugs with Dr Bob Longmore at Nannup Town Hall, Warren Road, Nannup
10.30am - 12.30pm, Saturday 14 and 11.30am-1.30pm, Saturday 21 August
Investigate the world of beneficial bugs with this interactive, hands-on workshop. Check bugs out under the microscope, learn about beneficial bugs in the local area and then make your very own bug hotel to take home.
Buzzing Bees and Honey Baking with Bee Winfield at Nannup RSL, 7 Cross Street, Nannup
1:30pm-3pm, Sunday 15 August
Experience a total bee observatory to learn about the fascinating world of bees before getting messy in the kitchen making honey marshmallows.
Floral Focaccias with Guy Jeffreys at Nannup RSL, 7 Cross Street, Nannup
11:30am-1pm, Sunday 22 August
This is a once-off opportunity to work with special guest and chef extraordinaire, Guy Jeffreys. Come along and learn the science behind bread making and decorate focaccias under the festival theme 'Edible Blooms'.
Two of the workshops will occur at the Nannup Town Hall located on Warren Road. Two workshops will be occurring at the Nannup RSL, 7 Cross Street Nannup.
