Rescheduled due to the ACT COVID lockdown.
A collaboration between the Joint Colleges of Science Representatives and Science Society ANU, this event will feature a panel of academics and researchers from the ANU and wider ACT research community who identify as women, woman-aligned or experience gendered oppression as a result of being perceived as a woman, followed by a morning tea.
Panel members will be encouraged to share their experiences in STEM, offer advice to aspiring scientists and address ways they feel minority communities can be better supported in STEM fields.
This panel will be non-autonomous, with the aim of providing an opportunity for all interested students and members of the public to engage in bipartisan discussions regarding representation of Women* in STEM to empower both current and future communities.
This National Science Week project is supported by the Australian Government.
Location will be updated closer to the event.
