Beebots Robotics with Fizzics Education
11:30 pm - 12:30 pm, Saturday 20 August

For ages 5-7 years. Parents are required to stay.

Using a simple intuitive interface, kids learn to program the Beebot to move forward, turn, stop, flash lights and make sounds, all within themed challenges designed to teach children planning and spatial awareness. Students will work in pairs or threes as they are guided through a series of challenge mats and obstacles. This engaging workshop offers students a chance to learn real-time programming in a fun atmosphere. Additionally, it’s great for children learning about coordinates and sequential reasoning.

Exploring Science with Fizzics Education
1:00 - 2:00 pm, Saturday 20 August

For ages 8-12 years. Parents are not required to stay.

The program begins with demonstrations on vibrations using screaming rods, thunderous drums and harmonic bells, followed by colour-changing chemical reactions and more! The bulk of the session focuses on a variety of hands-on science toys setup as exploratory stations on light, sound, movement, energy changes and more. Most of the program is hands-on, where our presenters expand children’s understanding of science whilst allowing the kids to get involved.

Bookings are available online.
