Learn how artificial intelligence can merge with the Internet of Things to be applied in our daily lives now and in the future with AIoT (Artifical Intelligence of Things).

Join us in celebration of National Science Week at Ryde Library as noted academic Dr Adnan Mahmood speaks on the paradigm of the Artificial Intelligence of Things (AIoT), i.e. a marriage of the powerful notions of Artificial Intelligence and the Internet of Things. The session will discuss the AIoT applications in our daily lives and their potential future. Audience members will also have the opportunity to experience the considerable significance of IoT Devices. There will be an opportunity for Q&A during the event.

Note - families are welcome to attend however the level of the subject matter may be more suitable to adult audiences.

About the Presenter

Dr. Adnan Mahmood possesses a PhD in Computer Science and is a Lecturer in Computing – IoT and Networking at the School of Computing, Macquarie University. Before moving to Macquarie University, Adnan had spent a considerable number of years in the academic and the research settings of the Republic of Ireland, Malaysia, Pakistan, and the People’s Republic of China.

His research interests include, but are not limited to, the Internet of Things, the Internet of Vehicles, Trust Management, Software-Defined Networking, and the Next Generation Heterogeneous Wireless Networks. Adnan’s research has been published as refereed Book Chapters, Journal Articles, and Conference Papers in several prestigious venues. Adnan also serves on the Technical Program Committees of a number of reputed International Conferences.
