The Bunbury Dolphin Discovery is on the shore of the Koombana Bay. Dolphins were first hand-fed in the area from 1960, and they have been the subject of research since 1989. The redeveloped  Discovery Centre opened in 2018.

As well as the displays and aquariums in the interpretive centre, visitors can see the dolphins up close near the shore or during a guided encounter swim or cruise.

Reesearchers record the feeding history of the hand fed dolphins (they only receive a small proportion of their total diet from feeding), as well as track the visits of the more than 50 dolphins who come into the bay. The Centre also cares for sick or injured marine turtles before releasing them back into the wild.

Admission fees apply. Open everyday except 25 December.
