Participants will learn about one of Australia’s most significant collections of fungi and plants from the Department of Primary Industries in Orange. The DPI’s Herbarium lead curator, Jordan Bailey, will discuss the importance of biosecurity, collecting specimens, and the relevance of historical collections. Participants will learn about fungi and other organic matter for identification and discussion.

Films from Scinema will be screened throughout the day.  Scinema International Science Film Festival brings the best in science feature, short, documentary animation and experimental films from filmmakers around the world.

This is a free event for the Stage 3 students of Orange Public School.
