Conversations with Women of Waite

The Women of Waite want to bust the ‘scientist’ stereotype and give you a glimpse into the realities of exactly what a working scientist is and does. A panel of awesome female researchers from different career stages will talk about their research, career path, achievements and challenges.

When you hear the word ‘scientist’ do you picture the stereotypical be-spectacled man in a lab-coat? The Women of Waite want to bust this myth and give you a glimpse into the realities, challenges and benefits of exactly what a working scientist is and does.

You’ll meet some of the awesome female researchers of the Waite Research Precinct from different career stages in a panel discussion where they talk about their research but also their career path, achievements and challenges of being a female scientist.
