Learn why it is important for the chickens we eat to have a nutritional balanced diet and how scientists are designing chicken diets for better health, welfare and efficiency. Dr Sonia Liu is a poultry nutritionist at the University of Sydney who works with scientists in the USA, Europe, South Africa and China to develop nutritional strategies to secure future supplies of chicken-meat protein via sustainable production.
