Lewis Carroll’s Alice in Wonderland is famous as a story that doesn’t make much sense – unless you know that the author was a mathematician.

This part-performance, part-discussion will introduce you to chapters of Alice in Wonderland with mathematical links.

This event will be digitally livestreamed from the RiAus studio for sharing at libraries, community centres, schools and homes around Australia and beyond. Digital chat will allow those watching the livestream to ask questions about the performance.

The video will be available online for viewing afterwards for those unable to participate during the livestream.

Mathematics is an evolving field of ideas now, as it was when Alice in Wonderland was written in the 19th century. Come down the rabbit hole as we open your mind to the world of Lewis Carroll.

Performed by science communicator Cobi Smith as Alice, with narration by University of Adelaide mathematician David Butler.
