Australia Zoo, home of the Crocodile Hunter, is located on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland. As well as lots of saltwater crocodiles (Crocodylus porosus) the Zoo has over 100 species of animals from all over the world.

Each day there are shows performed around the Zoo as well as in the Crocoseum, a 5000 seat arena with clear water ponds so visitors can clearly see the crocs lurking underwater.

The Wildlife Hospital is the largest in the world, with two operating theatres and up to 30 different species of animals being admitted each day.

In 2009 Australia Zoo was inducted into the Queensland Tourism Awards Hall of Fame.

The Zoo is open from 9.00 am – 5.00 pm everyday (except for 25 April, 1.30  – 5.30 pm; and closed 25 December). Admission fees apply.
